About StickStats
StickStats is a free NHL stats site for fans who want the useful numbers fast: who's good, who's hot, what's on tonight and how each player is tracking, without the clutter.
What's here
Power ratings
Every team gets a rating out of 100, weighted 50% on regulation win percentage, 30% on points percentage and 20% on goal differential per game. Regulation wins count most because they say the most about how good a team is.
Hot & cold streaks
Recent form blends the last 10 games' points percentage, goal differential and current streak. Teams early in the season are pulled toward average, so a 2-0 start doesn't count as a heater.
Live scores
The schedule and game pages update on their own during games: score, period, clock, scoring summary, three stars and box score.
Player projections
Skater projections weight the last three seasons 3:2:1, newest first, adjust for age and injury-shortened seasons, and add the games left on the schedule to what's already banked.
Ask AI
Ask a question about any team in plain English and get an answer grounded in its current stats. Answers are generated by a language model and can be wrong, so check anything important.
Where the data comes from
Standings, rosters, schedules, game feeds and player stats come from the NHL's public stats API and refresh throughout the day. Ratings, streaks and projections are calculated by StickStats from that data. Stats are for entertainment only and aren't guaranteed to be accurate.
The fine print
StickStats is an independent project, not affiliated with the NHL, the NHLPA or any NHL team. All NHL and team logos and marks belong to the NHL and their respective teams.
